How Viter Started

Viter Home Lab didn’t start with a huge warehouse full of stock.

It started with a messy apartment, an overstuffed toolbox and a car trunk full of “maybe useful someday” gadgets.

Our founder, Jake, kept running into the same three problems:

  • tools that broke after a few uses,
  • gadgets that looked clever online but solved nothing in real life,
  • and stores that made it hard to understand what a product was actually good for.

So he began doing what he called “home lab tests”: trying different tools on real everyday tasks – fixing loose handles, mounting shelves, cleaning hard-to-reach spots, organizing cables, quick car fixes before a trip, packing smarter for travel.

The rule was simple:

if a tool didn’t clearly solve a real problem, it didn’t stay.

What started as a personal filter for his own home turned into Viter Home Lab – an online store focused on problem-solving tools for everyday life: DIY projects, home cleaning, home improvement, automotive tasks and smart travel gear.

Only then does a product make it into the store.
